"Allow us to introduce the man who puts the woe into "Woah yeah!" - Arsey Rob, the petulant musical scientist whose current calling card is his first full length album. Potent, pugnacious and occasionally a bit ruddy obstinate he's a man always spoiling for a fight, often with himself.
Here, however, he lets his music do the talking rather than his fists and restricts his love of violence to heavy-duty pieces of music like 'Beat Me Like An Egg' and 'Corrugated Flue Tubes'. Many people have tried unsuccessfully to categorise his music - is it apocalyptic electronica? Uneasy listening? Or simply spastic hardcore? Try imagining the sound of a JCB driving out of your speakers and into your face at the speed of thought - this is music that hits you simoultaneously in the mind, heart and bollocks.
By contrast the album is littered with moments of sublime, fragile beauty. 'Therešs A Tiger On The Boat' in particular could draw tears from the eyes of crocodiles and Nestle marketing executives alike whilst 'One Dog, Two Straws' contains a lilting, dreamlike refrain that will steal into your waking world.
This is both a demanding and rewarding listen for men and machines alike. Love your stereo and use it for what it was built for - playing this album. Do as Arsey Rob says - he knows best."
